About Me

Hi - I'm, Alex (she/her)! I'm an aquatic biogeochemist and ecosystem scientist interested in using data to understand how aquatic ecosystems will change in the future. To accomplish this, I use a variety of tools including: long-term ecosystem and water quality studies, opportunistic sampling following disturbance events, in-situ monitoring systems, ecosystem simulation modeling, remote sensing, and a variety of statistical techniques.

In addition to my research, I am also passionate about making science accessible to all through both formal and informal engagement. I believe science is for everybody and am committed to making science spaces inclusive and equitable.
